      Education

      • University of Michigan School of Dentistry
        Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS)
        2014 - 2018
Trained in and provided care in all areas of general dentistry including: Fixed & removable prosthodontics, endodontics, radiology, simple & surgical extractions, restorative, scaling and root planning, implant treatment planning and restoration, treating patients with special needs and complex medical histories, clinical mentorship, pediatric dentistry including behavior management, and a basic orthodontic treatment elective
      • Hope College
        Bachelor of Arts
        2009 - 2013
I graduated with a major in Chemistry and minors in Art History and Kinesiology during my Liberal Arts undergraduate experience. It may seem like a strange combination of interests on paper, but after living the curriculums/course studies and working on numerous projects and research papers where I strove to combine these fields my eyes were opened to recognize the intricate connections between them.
Through the constant commitment to find related topics in my fields of study, my experience at Hope helped shape how I now view dentistry through a lens of greater human health. For example, not only does the food someone eats affect the dentition I ultimately am treating but it affects the medical conditions I must be aware of prior to treatment. I later chose a dental GPR program after graduating to learn more about the medical conditions a patient may present with that I need to be aware of prior to treating them in the dental chair.
